COVID-19!!!! Ah that dreaded word! Whether you are studying from home or on campus, trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle in these times is quite a challenge. To be honest, trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle is hard on its own!
Personal disclaimer: I am a Year 2 medical student and I am just here listing tips from personal experience! I am not a personal trainer or nutritionist. But I hope some of these tips might be useful to you guys!
A little bit of an introduction:
At the beginning of the first lockdown, I did not handle it well. I did not have balanced meals. I was not active. I basically spent most of my time in my room snacking behind a screen. Then one day I picked myself up and got on the scale. I literally laughed! I was just so shocked by how heavy I had gotten! I was not happy. Not just with my physical appearance but with my mental state. I hated how lazy I became. Change was necessary.
As a result, I embarked on a fitness journey mid-May and I am proud to say that I lost 20 lbs over the 4 months.

As you can see from the graph, there were many ups and downs but my time in lockdown allowed me to play around with different things and find strategies for healthy living during COVID.
